Rainbow Favourites - PINK!

Last day of the Rainbow Favourites! Wheeee! Todays pink was a no brainer for me, as we all know, I'm not a pink fan! This one, though, I knew I was going to show you from the very start.

OPI La-Pazatively Hot Matte. Matte, intense, rich pink shimmer. Beautiful matter, and with topcoat;

And, with nail art;

So pretty. And a good way to end the week. Thank you to all the girls who joined me with this challenge, it's been fun <3 Now, I still have some untrieds to swatch and post, and some nail art is well due!

Until Next Time,

Rainbow Favourites- PURPLE!

Hey hey! I'm excited about today, I loooove purple, I think I have more purple and green than anything else in my stash!

Now, I was torn between 2 polishes today, and I was going to turn them into a gradient, but alas, it rained all day and there was no sunlight :/ so instead, I'll just post my older swatches of them!

First up, OPI DS Original;

And China Glaze LOL

Need I say more?!

One more day left of the challenge! And my pink is a doozy!

Until next time,

Rainbow Favourites Blue & Green + a review!

 Hello hello! I know I skipped yesterdays Rainbow day, Green, but, I had an idea.

A short while ago I was contacted by FeatherGirlz, a Canadian company that specialises in AMAZING feather products. I was planning to post my review earlier, but I very suddenly had to juggle 2 courses, and a sudden move of house. So I do apologise to the girls for taking so long! I'm sorry!

The products I was sent to review are simply divine. They chose the products for me, and they picked two I would have chosen myself! I was sent the Chocolate Mousse charm, and the Off the Hook Clip in Extension (click the links to see the items!)

I really love these. The feathers are natural, soft, and beautifully coloured. We'll start with the charm.

Chocolate Mousse is a great mix of neutral/brown patterned feathers, all secured nicely on a sturdy clasp and chain. I'm actually using it as one of my keyrings! I've gotten some great compliments about it too, luckily they sent me some business cards to hand out!

And the Off the Hook Clip in extension? There are no words for how much I love this.

As you can see, there are 5 long feathers attached the the snap open/shut clip. A green, a blue, a pink, and 2 that transition between all three colours, one plain and the other with black stripes. It's a gradient on feathers, I love that!

And, how it looks in my hair; (please excuse the regrowth lol!)

  You can see the clip here, it's nice and sturdy and easy to use.
And, you can't see it under your hair! Bonus!

So, for my nails for the rainbow challenge, today is technically 'Blue' day, so I added some green to make up for yesterday, so here are my favourite blue and green;

China Glaze Towel Boy Toy and Color Club Glitter Envy. Love love love.

So, there you have it. I love the feathers, and will be purchasing from them in the future for sure!

Until Next Time,

<3 Bec

*Some of the products in this post were sent for review. This in no way has altered my views, they are my honest opinions*

Rainbow Favourites- YELLOW!

Hello hello! Short post tonight, I'm uber tired >_<

Todays colour is yellow. When it comes to yellow, the brighter the better if you ask me, which is why I have this;

Orly Glowstick. Love love love!

Now, I have to go make brownies and sleep! Keen for tomorrows challenge, Green is my FAVOURITE colour :D

Until then!

Rainbow Favourites: ORANGE

Hello again! Another Rainbow Favourite today, this time Orange! I like orange polishes, but I don't own many. But there is one that I use so much more than the others, just because I love it that much, and, it only cost me $3! (another old photo too!)

Mode Cosmetics Rave'n. HATE the name, LOVE the polish! It was one of my first polishes that started my addiction, and I still use it frequently. So todays is a favourite because its not only  a great colour, but a bit of a sentimental one for me :3

Don't forget to check out the other oranges we'll be posting!

Rainbow Favourites- RED!

Hello hello! Starting my week of favourites tonight, (see here for details!) and we're starting with one of my fave colours, red. This was a hard one for me, but looking through my nail folders on my computer, I kept coming back to one photo. One polish just stands out above the rest, so much so that I actually have 2 jars of it;

China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Intense red jelly packed with red glitter. Sparkly and classy at the same time. This photo above was my first time using it, and I instantly fell in love. I used it again recently, again with black (they just look THAT good together);

I love it. If you don't have it, GET IT. I believe everyone who loves polish should own it.

Now, go check out the other girls showing off their fave reds!

A England Bridal Veil

Hello again! The last of my A England collection today! I bet you're sick of hearing about how amazing they are, but I simply cannot help it!

Bridal Veil. Super pigmented, rich, deep black with subtle holo. Not as holo as others, like Dragon or Ascalon, but still holo nontheless!

One coat again, dried fast, smooth application. The usual A England formula, and I have no complaints whatsoever!

I knew I had to have this one as soon as it was released. I love black polish, 99% of my wardrobe is black, and we all know b now that I'm a sucker for holos!

Until Next Time,

<3 Bec

i'm baaaaaaack!

HELLO! I still have one scheduled post to come tonight, but I am 100% back! I have to thank you all for still reading and commenting while I was away, I was not expecting that!

So, now that I have returned I have an idea to share with my fellow bloggers. I have already asked in one of my polish groups on facebook and gotten a great response, so I'm opening it up to everyone who blogs!

What I've come up with is simple, but fun. A rainbow themed week of favourites. Each day we show our all time favourite polish of the specified colour- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink. So, for those interested, Sunday (June 24)  will be Red. Then following that above order, every day a different colour.

You don't just have to show the colour alone! I plan to add nail art in, so feel free to!

All I need you to do is leave your blog link in the comments, and I'll compile a list of bloggers!

Until Next Time!

A England Dragon

Hello Again! Another A England today, this time, the magical Dragon.

ooooooo! Dragon is a nice, dark, green with gold duochrome effect. Another holo/duochrome?! Be still my beating heart!

Best thing about this one? ONE COAT. So pigmented. Smooth, perfect application, quick drying time, all the elements to make a perfect polish. And it is.

I have a lot of green holos, and this is right up there in the top 3! Another amazing polish! Have you tried any A Englands yet? Which one?

Until Next Time

A England Perceval

Hello again! Still scheduled, hoping to be back soon!

Today, I have another A England, Perceval. Gorgeous, silky, glowing deep red shimmer. Another jar of perfection. Easily one of my favourite A Englands. And that's saying something!

Perceval is such a smooth, sexy red. It has great application, covers in two coats, but you can get away with one if you're careful!

A England polishes all dry very quickly, and are all super shiny. I have to admit, I've been very slack with posting this one, I got it in January! But I've worn it multiple times, it's one of my favourite reds!

Can you see how it glows in the sunlight?! It's such an intense red. This is the only non-holo A England I have, and it was my first one!

Best red ever? Maybe! I'll have to do a comparison of my favourites!

Until Next Time!

NOTD feat. China Glaze and Nubar!

Hello again! Just a quick (scheduled) post today! I wore this combo last week and adored it!

2 coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps and 2 coats of Nubar Black Polka Dots on my thumb and ring finger. Ruby Pumps is one of my all time favourites, its so amazing!

Until Next Time,

Franken Time!

Hello again! I have something a bit special for you today! It was my birthday yesterday (22- so old!) and I think that its the best occasion to unveil my new franken!

Ladies and Gents, meet Goblyn Pee! Named because the main polish I used to make it was named Goblyn. I've been lusting after a neon green holo since forever, so I caved and made my own!

I'm wearing 3 coats here, no white base coat underneath, and no top coat. I'm very happy with how this turned out, it definitely filled my need to have a neon green holo!

Sadly, the holo effect didn't capture as well as it should have, it's definitely there in person! I do have a spectraflair topcoat I can use to enhance it, I'll have to do that!

So, there you have it. What do you think?

Until Next Time

China Glaze Refresh-Mint

Hello Again! Another scheduled post today, I'm trying to keep these short-ish and hoping they work properly!

Today I have another one of the China Glaze Up and Away collection for you, Refresh-Mint.

Another one that makes me look tan! Sup with that? Anywhoo, Refresh-Mint is a plain, simple, pastel mint green. Love. Right up my alley, BUT, even though it is green, it's not my favourite from this collection (of the 5 I have), I'm leaving that for later!

This was a little streaky, I have 3 coats on here, but thankfully it evens itself out eventually! This collection is super glossy too, I have no top coat on and it was pretty shiny!

I think this is a really cute, fresh colour that I can wear all year round. And I do plan to buy back ups of all the ones I have, because the colours are just phenomenal. I love wearing pastels in winter!

Until Next Time,

China Glaze Light As Air

Hello! Welcome to the 'Bec's posting but she's really not' period of my blog! aka, I just moved house and have no internet so have a bunch of queued posts ;D So hopefully this works!

Today I have one of the China Glaze 2010 Up and Away collection. I have most of the collection, and love each and every one of them that I do have (including the pink!), and am working on getting the rest.

Light As Air. Very light, pastel purple creme. I really love the colour, it's similar to Picture Polish Bliss, but they're not dupes.

This is 3 coats, and I still could have used another just to even it out a bit. Streaky as hell. But I really do think it's worth it, I love the colour.

I've noticed that purples always seem to make me look tanner than I am, not matter what shade it is. Weird huh?

Until Next Time

A England Ascalon

Dear Adina and A England in general.
Stop with the amazingness.
Love, Bec's Wallet

Seriously though, I have 4 A England polishes to show you, and I may re-swatch Tristam (because it's amazing), and every. single. one. is PERFECTION. Ugh. A England are still an indie brand in my eyes, and out of all of them (and there are HEAPS now), they are my favourite. I love the colours, I love the medieval themes, I love that there are holos, and the formula is amazing.

Today I'm showing you Ascalon. And there's a few pics. I couldn't help myself.

Ascalon is a mousy grey holo with a purple duochrome. Duochrome and holo?! *fans self* I had some difficulty capturing the duochrome shift, because it was very temperamental weather that day, cloudy, then a few minutes of sun, then more cloud...

This is one gorgeous polish. Application was flawless, 2 easy coats here. A England polishes are just SO pigmented, so intense and always stunning.

You can see some of the purple in this pic, but trust me, it's much stronger in person! These polishes are nice and glossy too, unlike a lot of holos.

There really isn't much more to be said about Ascalon. If you've been eyeing it off, GET IT. A England have free worldwide shipping from their website, and shipping is pretty fast! I'll leave you with a couple more photos ;D

What do you think, gorgeous? No? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Until Next Time,

<3 Bec

NOTD - Flakie Edition!

Hello! Just a quick-ish post today, I've had this polish combo on my mind all day, and I don't give my flakies enough love! So this is whats been on my mind;

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (3 coats) with 1 coat of Essie Shine Of The Times. TUT was being very difficult tonight, but its pretty cold, so I blame that! I really dig this, Turned Up Turquoise is one of my fave polishes!

Until Next Time,

<3 Bec!

OPI DS Sapphire

Hello again! Another one from my epic swatchathon the other day!  I bought this from April, and it's taken me months to use it! Mainly due to the lid being unopenable, but I popped it in some hot water and got it open finally!

OPI DS Sapphire

Pretty, light blue linear holo. DS010, and discontinued, like most of the DS's. This is one cool holo! Let me explain why;

First, it's an awesome colour, similar to one of the Milani holos (I have a post coming up about this!). Light, sky blue..with a slight purple duochrome. It's not always there, but you can definitely see it. The holo effect is strong and linear, and it looks very cool with the shade of blue.

It dried quickly, like most holos. It is a bit sheer though, I'm wearing three coats and there's still visible nail line. Next time, I plan to layer it over something.

It is a really gorgeous shade though, OPI need to start making them like this again...

Until Next Time!
