Leopardy Goodness!

I am in love with this colour combo- OPIs In My Back Pocket and Mode Cosmetics Party Crasher. Just works so so well. In My Back Pocket is one of my all time favourite polishes, such a versitile orange that goes with almost everything.
I wasn’t too sure of my left hand leopard skills, which is why there isn’t full leopard, but turns out i like this way so much better! I will definitely do this one again!

Tie Dye!

Tie dye made via my previous post! This was my first attempt at this technique and I’m SO happy with it! Definitely gonna do it again soon

Eighties Fuschia by Ulta3

I LOVE this colour! One of the rare ones that looks.better on the nail than in the bottle. Eighties Fuschia is a darker neon, dries semi matte and is pretty.opaque. This is one coat of a coat of BYS French White (I have plans for this mani!)
Very cute, very 80’s, I love it

Kermit by Colour by T.B.N

The last colour from the fluoro collection, and by far the best in the box! Kermit is a very smooth grassy green, with amazing formula. It has an interesting finish too, it looks very glossy here but is actually semi matte like the rest. Application was great, very easy to deal with. And its almost opaque in one coat! this is two thin coats, first coat was a bit streaky but it built up nicely.
So thats the last colour from this collection, overall I’m quite pleased with it!

Parfait from Colour by T.B.N

This colour instantly reminds me of melon! Very summery. Also its a colour i have nothing similar to. As with most neons, it dries semi matte and is quite sheer. This is two coats and my nail line is pretty visible…
I do adore this colour though. A very happy colour!

I’ve been neglecting my crackles again…

I seriously looooooove crackles. everything about them. on my ring finger is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On with OPI’s Black Shatter and on the rest is NYC Colours Night with China Glaze’s Lightening bolt.

I’m glad I’ve got a new Black shatter on the way, mine has been veeeeeery clumpy since the get go.

Lightening Bolt, however is AMAZING. My only problem with it is the very thin brush, makes it hard cos you gotta work quickly with Crackles. I just love the way Lightening Bolt crackles. If my next Black Shatter is crap, I’ll be trying the CG one.

Jason Vorhees!

I was stuck for an idea, and saw a little badge with jasons mask on it on my boyfriedns monitor, so bam! there you go :D though i must say, these were HARD haha especially as the nails got smaller…

Kinda wish I had thought of these for Halloween…

tattoo nails

I’ve been wanting to try these for a while, but Love/Hate just isn’t me, Rock and Roll however…
on my thumbs are a black and silver heart and a black skull with silver eyes

Zinger from the Colour by T.B.N Flouro Collection

Not a colour I would have in a fluoro collection, but oh well. I have serious mixed feelings about this polish.

On the plus side, it is opaque in two coats, has a great wide brush, and applies like a dream. It cleans up very easily too, because there is very little mess! And I adore the semi-matte finish <3

However, this polish is SO THICK. Seriously thick. Luckily, it’s not a colour I see myself using a lot, so it’s not that much of a problem. Its got a rather strong smell too…

So yeah, undecided on this one, but I’m about to pimp it with what should be an awesome design!

PS. Please excuse the huge scratches on my hand, the cat wasn’t feeling friendly last night, and again, excuse the dog in the background, she wants to barge in on my photos haha

Ulta 3s Sizzling Red.

HOT. So in love with this shade. Just gorgeous. Perfect coverage in 2 coats, and applys like a dream…

Day 10 (final day) : Ombre nails

my second favourite colour combo! also the second tine attempting these, pretty happy with the results!

Came home to my first Etsy sale!

my Gaga nails are off to a good home, and i’m  treating myself to The Fresh Frog of Bel Air :D

Rain on My Parade

Polish 2 from the Colour by T.B.N neon collection; Rain on My Parade. Again, a pretty colour, nice wide brush and applys lovely. It also has a nice formula, not too thick or thin. And just like Maz-Arati, its a little sheer, not as sheer though. This is two coats but its still a bit streaky…

Day 9: Favourite colour combination

Purple, green and black (does glitter count as a colour?) I used Ulta3s Orchid for the base (its a one coater!), then i add NYC Colours Sprinkles over the.top and used BYS Black Satin for the stripes

Maz-Arati by Colour by T.B.N.

Sheeeeeer! this is three thick coats and theres plenty of vnl still. also, it stained my fingers! those coloured bits on my finger arent there on person D:
on the plus side, i do love the colour. And they have a nice wide brush similar to OPI.
I have 5 more colours from this brand (i bought a collection) to swatch so keep your eyes peeled!
close up with no flash. the stains are not visible in this one

Day 8; inspired by a movie

I was stumped on this one until last night, when we put the south park movie on! Pretty happy with how they turned out :D

NYC Colors Blue Bird

Such a pretty pastel! Its a little bright too, a totally cute colour. This is 3 coats, and is a few days old, so it lasts! I topped it with China Glazes Matte Magic

Day 7: Favourite Handpainted Mani

I love drips. they are so easy and you can use any colour combo in the world! This is Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear Green with Envy and OPI do You Lilac It?

10 day Challenge Day 6; favourite Celebrity Manicure

Who can resist Dita’s half moons? they’re just SO elegant. My take sucked, heh. i had no reinforcement stickers so i did it all freehand. I used Ulta3’s Black Plum, which is basically a shimmery version of OPI’s William tell Me About OPI, but it is divine. I love this shade in general.

Day 5; Blue nails

This came out better than I thought! The base is NYC Colours Blue Bird, topped with China Glazes Matte Magic and Ulta3 Hollywood for the tips. I like this a fair bit

Colour Clubs Glitter Envy

This is the only Color Club polish I own and its my all time favourite! Bright green and glitter = <3
Sadly this is a rather sheer polish so i like layering over white or bright green polishes. It isnt overly sparkly either, most of the glitter is in the polish, not on top. Also because of that, it has a fairly smooth surface when dry.

Day 4- Animal print

These rock, if i do say so myself. I wanted to do something bright and this is definitely bright! Glitter Envy is my all time favourite colour, its two of the best things combined- glitter and bright green… I have a full review of this colour later!
Colour clubs Glitter Envy (2 coats) layered over 2 coats of Ulta3s Jelly with BYS UV Thundershock for the stripes.

OPI Green-wich Village.

This is one of my absolute favourite greens. Its almost grassy in colour. One coat is quite sheer, but it builds up with a second coat well. This is two coats, you can still see a little VNL but thats ok because this is the base for my mani for my 10 day challenge!

Day 3- Inspired by a book.

its not hard to guess! :p I’ve loved Frankenstein as long as I can remember. The green is OPI Green-wich Village

Day 2 of my 10 day challenge; Rainbow nails

I decided to take a different route with this one. Black matte base with rainbow dots on every second nail. Quite chuffed with how this turned out!

10 Day Nail Challenge Day 1: Pink Nails

Decided to try the butterfly/monarch nails for the first time. The pink is just some random completely unlabelled polish I found in a 10 for $10 deal, and OMG it is a bitch to deal with. two hours later and a THIN coat was still not dry

Grrr!

Hand painted tiger stripes using OPI In My Back Pocket and NYC Colours Night. My first attempt at tiger stripes, not bad huh?

Water Marble

i really need to work on my marbling skills…
OPI Do You Lilac It?
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green with envy

OPI- In My Back Pocket.

I really took a gamble on this polish. OPI is quite expensive to buy in stores in Australia, so I buy mine off eBay for a third of price. This colour however, the description picture on ebay showed it as a dark, egg yolk-y yellow. So imagine my surprise when it arrives and is an AMAZING brightish orange. I actually love this colour more than the one I thought I was buying! The application of this polish is fantastic, and it only takes two coats to be opaque. This is also a perfect Halloween orange…
So… do you like?

Another mixed mani set!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy
Ulta 3 Fruit Tingle
Mode Blackjack
NYC Colours Sprinkles.

A Rose By Any Other Name...

A mixed mani set I just finished, all floral and pretty. These are available on my etsy, message me if you’d like info on my store or even the colors used to make these!

R-R-Red!

A sexy red lingerie inspired mani! I did these during a bout of its2amandi’mstillwideawake-itis and all things considered, I thought they turned out pretty well…
The red is Scarlet by Ulta3, the white Lily White from Ulta3 and the black is Blacjack by Mode Cosmetics

Neon Shatter

A neon skittle with OPI’s Black Shatter. Again, all the neon colours are from Ulta3 (I use them a LOT!), except the orange.
So its; (from L-R)

Ulta3 Jelly
Ulta3 Citrus
Mode Rave’n
Ula3 Fruit Tingle

Gaga

Gaga inspired acrylic mixed mani set. She really didn’t leave me short of ideas! Most of these designs are from outfits and video clips, there are too many colours to list, and frankly, I'm lazy ;)

OPI- William Tell Me About OPI.

I adore this colour. It’s from the 2010 Swiss collection, so I’m a bit late, but I only just bought the colour. And I must say, I’m glad I did! The colour is divine, a nice eggplant-y/maroon-y colour, its dark but never looks.black. Application is great, what you can see is two coats, with no top coat. But honestly, I didn’t really need the second coat, its very opaque.
I’ve had this colour for a month or so, but only used it for swatching. I didn’t realise how gorgeous this colour is, I’ll definitely be using it more though!

Another Halloween Mani

Another Halloween mani, using a chemist brand black, matted with China Glazes Matte Magic and Colour Clubs Glitter Envy for the drips again.

Fresh Start and a Halloween Mani!

My last attempt at blogging here failed miserably, so I'm trying again and promise to do it properly this time!

Anyhow...This was one of my favourite Halloween manis I did this year.

The purple is China Glazes Reggae To Riches, a gorgeous colour that is unfortuantely quite sheer. This was 3 coats and I still had visible nail line, so to cover it up I added some drips with Colour Clubs Glitter Envy, which is one of the best polishes I own. Bright green and glitter is the best combo ever, and they’ve done well with this. The glitters not overly sparkly, it almost looks white on the nail, and the application is quite good, its opaque in 2 coats.
