Sea Siren Cosmetics part 5!

More Sea Sirens! Ahh, these are so quirky and cute, I love them! Two more today, once again, individual swatches, and then nail art.

Yellow Submarine: bright, pastel yellow. Smooth formula that builds perfectly in 3 coats.

Stunning Sunset: bright, yellow toned, bronze leaning gold. Super complex, super unique! 2 coats. Not usually a fan of these kind of colours, but I love this!

And the two together (which I quite like!):

Born Pretty Store Damask Decals!

It's no secret that I love Damask and patterns similar. So when I saw these decals from Born Pretty Store, I had to have them!

The decals I have are #K81, the silver version.

I have two versions of the design- the top glossy, and the bottom matte. The polishes used were Ulta3 Lily White and Black Satin, and China Glaze Cosmic.

These decals are AMAZING. I thought they would be flimsy and tear easily, but it's the total opposite! They are very sturdy, to the point where I struggled to get them so curve atop my nail. It was easy to apply them too, I simply placed them onto the nail via topcoat and a dotting tool.

I really love these, I must get myself some more, in different designs! If you like these, or any other nail art items Born Pretty Store has, feel free to use my 10% discount code - AFL91

Born Pretty Store Water Drop Stones Review

First things first, I have NO idea what to actually call these stones. But they are another gorgeous product from Born Pretty Store. I was very lost on how to use these at first, but I came up with a simple, yet pretty design...

I used Zoya Blu for my base, and Ulta3 Twinkle Toes to make an icy-themed glitter gradient. I placed the stone on using just top coat. (FYI- this stone is style #5)

These stones are absolutely gorgeous, they are. But, they are also HUGE. Crazy big. It was too wide and flat to sit properly on my nail, as my nails are quite curved. It does stick up a lot too, so be careful to not catch them on anything!

These stones are available, along with so many other nail art accessories, from Born Pretty Store. They have free worldwide shipping, and to make it sweeter, I have a 10% discount code - AFL91! :)

Sea Siren Cosmetics Swatches and Review part 4!

First things first, I apologize for the sporadic posts. Life has been a bit much lately and I haven't had the time or energy. But, I promise I'll be posting more!

More Sea Siren! I hope you guys are enjoying these, because I have been having SO much fun with these polishes! I'm almost finished swatching these, so today I have two more for you!

Golden Sands is an absolutely amazing silvery toned gold. I know that sounds weird, but it is! It's a cool toned gold with a silvery shine to it. Again, like so many Sea Siren polishes, this is totally unique to my collection. It has an almost foil-like finish, dries amazingly quick and is totally opaque in 2 coats.

Mojito Madness is an AWESOME bright, but not neon green. It's minty, creamy and amazing. I had fallen in love with this one at first sight, lost hope on the first coat, and then LOVED the final result. This one does start out very sheer, and a bit streaky, but if you stick with it, it's beautifully opaque in 3 thin coats.

And finally, like usual, I've done a nail art look with these two polishes. I went for a mermaid look with them, and used handpainting and a star stud from Born Pretty Store.

Until Next Time,

<3 Bec

Monochromatic Skittle!

Tonight's mani is heavily inspired by Sharon from Polish Infatuated. I absolutely love her skittle manis, she always come up with simply gorgeous stuff! So I decided to try one myself, and I loved the results.

I used Ulta3 Black Satin, Lily White and Twinkle Toes, and Color Club Worth The Risque. The zig zag pattern was handpainted, and not perfect by a long shot! Finished it off with Out The Door top coat.

Until Next Time,

Sea Siren Cosmetics Swatches and Review part 3!

Back again with another Sea Siren Cosmetics post! Today, I have some really gorgeous pastels to show off! As with all my Sea Siren posts, I have swatches and then a nail art-ed look using all of the colours swatched.

Before I share these photos, I must warn you that while I do love me some pastels, they make my skin look VERY red. Lobster hands to the max!

Tranquility- 2 coats. Super pretty lavender creme. Formula was very good, and it was quite opaque for a pastel like this. It's a bit brighter for a pastel, but it's still super delicate and girly!

Motion Of The Ocean- 2 coats. LOVE the name! And this colour, phwoar! A pastel but bright minty green. 2 coats and it's opaque, amazing formula. I absolutely recommend this one to any green lover!

Gossip- 2 coats. This is a gorgeous, blue toned, bubblegum pink. In my stash, this is a very unique shade of pink. Perfect formula and opacity again.

And finally, Beachy Peachy- 3 coats. Pastel peachy/nude-ish colour. Definitely not like China Glaze Peachy Keen, it's lighter. The formula was a little thinner that the others in this post, it needs 3 coats to be opaque, but it's not streaky at all, and dried quickly.

And for my nail art using the polishes, I went with a delicate floral and polka dot skittle, and then matted it with Sea Siren Sea Matte.

Sea Siren Cosmetics Review Part 2!

Back again with the second (of many!) Sea Siren Cosmetics posts! This time I'm showing 3 polishes, and again, some nail art using all three.

Reflections- one coat over Sea Siren Tranquility (review coming soon!). I won't lie, I looked at this one and judged it badly immediately. And then I very, VERY quickly ate my own words. This is an amazing silver glitter topper. I never imagined it would be this fine or dense of a glitter, total winner for me! You could probably get this opaque in a few coats easily.

Code Purple- 2 coats. First off, this doesn't photograph exactly as it looks, it's a bit... red-der. Still definitely a bright purple, but it is more of a magenta. Nonetheless, awesome. Awesome purple, awesome formula. It is a bit sheer on the first coat, but builds up perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

Sea Matte Matte Top Coat- ohhhhh I love me some matte! And this is a beautiful matte top coat! It's thinner than any other that I have tried, dries quicker, and is actually suuuuuuuuper matte! I am in love! Also, can we talk about just how gorgeous Deep Blue Sea looks matte?! Like blue velvet!

And finally, a look I did using all three polishes:
I love a good purple and silver combo!

Until Next Time

Born Pretty Store Houndstooth Nail Stickers Review

I've never been a huge fan of Houndstooth patterns, I don't know why, I just never have. So while looking through Born Pretty Stores huge range of nail art supplies,  I saw these stickers and decided to give it a shot.

There are 3 different sizes of the sticker, 2 lines of each. They're very sturdy, Rubbery, and thicker than I expected. But this made them SO easy to use! They don't break when you pull them off, and they don't stretch out either. Here's how I used the strips (I used at least one bit from each size).
I just cut them to fit over my whole nail, and then two other corners of the strips to go on diagonally. And then I matted it.

Have these changed my thoughts on Houndstooth? A little. They are amazing quality again, I never fail to get an amazing product from Born Prettys nail art range. Don't forget, I have a 10% discount code! AFL91
