Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Eyeliners

I've recently discovered Rimmel's ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof eyeliners, and I am kicking myself for not trying them earlier.

The two I've got to show today are not conventional colours by any means, but that's why I love them!

The colours are 008 Light Blue and 010 Silver. Not imaginative names at all are they? Haha! These are pencil eyeliners, so you do need to sharpen them, which can waste some product.

These pencils are awesomely pigmented! One swipe and you can go, or, you can go over it again for crazy intense colour.

This is Silver and Light Blue swatched on my arm, gone over once. Silver is very shimmery! They claim to be waterproof, and it takes a fair bit of effort to get them off with water (or dry! these things do not budge!), so I would say it pretty much lives up to that. I wore Silver to work last week on my inner corners and it stayed put all day.

Another thing I love about these is how creamy they are. They glide on, don't drag or pull and apply very easily. They can easily jazz up any old eye look- I love pairing Silver with a smokey eye, and I layer a black liquid liner in a thinner line over blue and wing it for a cute look.

Dead Set Babes Glitter Spam!

Hiiii! I'm so sorry I haven't posted much lately, all I've been doing is working and sleeping haha!

Today I have 4 more polishes by Dead Set Babes to show you, three glitter toppers and a coloured base glitter.

Tainted Love- Clear base with white, black, blue and teal hearts and hexes. This is PACKED with hearts. I didn't need to fish for these at all, and the formula was nice. I picked out one heart of each colour to make heart 'balloons' as an accent nail. This is one coat over China Glaze Something Sweet, with topcoat.

 Crocodile Rock- clear base with white, blue, yellow and orange hexes with bright pink squares. Definitely a unique one in my collection. Formula was a little thin, but the glitter came out nicely and applied easily. This is one coat over BYS Black Satin and China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard with top coat.

Gunshot Glitter- this may be my favourite glitter indie all year. Big call I know, but it was love at first sight for me. Clear based glitter packed with small and large white hexes, blue hexes and tiny squares, black thick bars and stars, and red squares and stars. A LOT of glitter. It is so perfectly a comic book style glitter, so I painted on little 'action' noises comic book style. Formula was perfect, it's a dense glitter but wasn't too thick. No fishing or dabbing required. This is one coat over China Glaze Recycle with top coat.

Atlantis To Interzone- first things first, this one is HARD to capture. Photos do NOT do it justice. This polish has an inky blue jelly base and is full of teal, blue and purple hex glitters, some different sizes and some are holo. It has amazing pigmentation, glitter coverage and depth. I've shown it here at both one and two coats to give you a better look. Two coats is all this one needs, and I used Essence Gel Look and SV topcoats to make it shiny and smooth.

Dead Set Babes Neon Holos!

NEON. HOLOS. Two of my favourite things combined into one. So when I got a package from Dead Set Babes, I squealed when these gorgeous things fell into my lap!

Today, I'll be showing you 3 gorgeous holos from the Holla atcha Holo collection.

First up, Stephanya Bananya, a yellow, bright holo. This one, as you can see, is sheer. It's better off as a holo topper.

This is 3 coats, with top coat. This, and all of them really, are much more holo than they look in photos. My camera couldn't handle the brightness + the holoness!

Next, Mamacita, a HOT orange.

Again, 3 coats, and again, more holo IRL. I fell in love with this one straight away. Nice and opaque.

And finally, J-Bomb. This ones my favourite ;)

Greeeeeeeeeeeeen holo. My weakness! Again, 3 coats and more holo IRL. This one was good and opaque at 3 coats, still a teeny tiny bit of nail line showing through.

So, after I swatched and then fell in love with these, I grabbed 3 of my favourite polishes and layered these holos over them!

My overall verdict? I love these. I love them alone, I love them layered, I love the ADORABLE mini bottles. 

These are suuuuuuuuuuper limited edition, and there are more colours. I urge you to try them!

Aussie Nails Monday - Inspired by a Blogger

This weeks ANM was a tricky one. Inspired by another blogger is always hard for me. But I saw this mani by @nadeekay a few months ago and fell in love so I had to recreate it!

Naomi always puts out some amazing nail art, go check her out! But this mani was just so cute I had to try it myself!

I used China Glaze Lemon Fizz and Ulta3 Hot Spring to do the gradient and black acrylic paint to do the outlines.

Super simple, but super effective! I love.

Love Thy Polish Gruesome Twosome Halloween Duo!

Halloween is approaching and I can not be more excited! Halloween polishes are my favourite. We don't celebrate it much here in Australia, but it's my favourite holiday.

Love Thy Polish's offering this year is a duo of two polishes that have absolutely stolen my heart, and set the bar very high early in my books.

 The first of the two is Swamp Monster. This is a glitter topper, a clear base, with neon green and yellow hexes, black glitter and neon green micro glitter. No fishing or dabbing needed, and the glitter spreads nicely. I have it here layered one coat over Ulta3 Violet Rumble.

And the other half is Zombie Brains. This one is a grey jelly base, with black and white micro glitters and two sizes of magenta-pink circle glitter. I'm actually wearing this one on my toes at the moment, I love it so much! Some slight fishing required to get the dots out, but I leave it upside down for a few minutes before opening and have no trouble. Shown here at three thin coats.

And the best part about this duo, is that they look amazing layered WITH each other! I added one coat of Swamp Monster over 3 coats of Zombie Brains and this happened:

The neon glitters compliment the grey and magenta perfectly! Both of these polishes dry smooth too, one coat of top coat was enough.

Overall, very happy with the first Halloween polishes I got my claws on this year. These are available tomorrow- September 21st for Aussie ladies. International ladies, keep an eye on the Love Thy Polish facebook page for release info.

Born Pretty Store Neon Green Studs!

As soon as I saw that Born Pretty Store had fluorescent square studs, I instantly knew I needed the bright green ones!

These are a single bag of 100 3mm studs. As with most studs I've tried from Born Pretty, they are good quality.

For this manicure, I used BYS Black Satin under the studs, and on the other fingers I used Dead Set Babes J-Bomb (which you will see very soon!) over China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard.

I did find that these studs to be a bit too big for my nails, so they didn't sit flat. They lasted well while stuck on with a regular top coat. If you have curvy, narrowish nails like I do, you may find these don't sit on the nail properly. But, these are 3mm ones, 2mm ones (which they also have), are never a problem for me.
