If Your Neons Aren't Obnoxious,You're Doing It Wrong!

It's no secret that I adore neons. I wear them whatever the season- like now, heading into winter! But I was playing with another untrieds combo and this one's unusual but I love it!

I used Color Club Twiggie and Sea Siren Sailaway Heather as my bases (btw Twiggie is a MUST have for green lovers!) and my untrieds were the two glitters- Love Thy Polish Spot The Pink and Femme Fatale Abuse the Ooze. I will have more in depth swatches and details about both soon!

This was eye-meltingly bright in person, I loved it. My anti-neon partner, however, he hated it.

Share some more obnoxious neon colour combos with me, I'm getting ideas!

Until Next Time,

Oh Betty, You're So Fly...

Digging through my untrieds recently, I pulled out a few "iffy" colour combos, and this is one of them, and if I may say so myself, it works!

I started with a base of 2 coats of OPI Fly. I adore this colour. Super smooth and glossy and a perfect teal creme.

Then, I layered two coats of Pretty & Polished Punk'd Up Betty on top. It's definitely a funky combo, the pink really pops over the teal!

I have some more random couples to post too, I've been loving a creme base lately!

Until Next Time,

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Brushes

I've been in need of some new nail art brushes for a while, and have found a good quality, cheap set from Born Pretty Store. These brushes come in a pack of 7, and are all useful for nail art!

I love the pink/white ombre that the bristles have. I have put together a set of manicures using all of the brushes.

For this mani, I used the angled rush for the stripes, and the smaller pointed brush for the tribal design. Polishes used were Ulta3 Lily White and Black Satin, and China Glaze I'm Not Lion.

I used the fan brush for this mani and followed Neverland Nail Blogs Fan Brush Gradient tutorial. Polishes used were Colour Club Worth the Risque and China Glaze LOL.

I used the dotting tool here, and as you can see, it is quite a tiny dot! Perfect for smaller polka dots. Polishes used were Illamasqua Stance and Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!

I saved my favourite for last. For this one, I used the larger pointed brush for the floral detail, and the smaller flat brush to do the french tip. Polishes used were OPI So Many Clowns, So Little Time, Butter London Pillar Box Red, Ulta3 Lily White and Revlon Rainforest.

If you've been playing along, you'll have noticed I missed a brush. The larger fat brush. And it was actually used in every one of these manis, as the clean up brush, because it is PERFECT for that!

I love this brush set, and will be using all the brushes in it. If you'd like to try them, or anything else from Born Prettys huge range of nail art stuff, use my code for 10% off!

Born Pretty Store Rose Studs

Firstly, I apologise for the sporadic posting, I've been flat out with work and being sick. I'm all better now, so I promise to post more! Today, I'm showing you these gorgeous 3D metal roses from Born Pretty Store.

They come in a wheel of 12 colours, and there are 2 roses per colour. I've used 3 of the different colours in 3 different manicures to show how versatile they can be!

If you would like any names of any of the polishes I used, feel free to ask!

The roses are made out of aluminum, so they're pretty sturdy! They're also quite large, and they do stick out a little bit, so be careful! What I like about them is that they're reusable, just take it off, give it a quick clean if needed and you can reuse it! I stuck them on with a regular top coat for these photos and they stuck quite well. The bottom of the roses is flat, so it sits nicely on the nail. The only issue I have with them is that I fond on the purple and red ones, that the colour did 'run' a little bit when the top coat touched it. Upon removal, there was a tiny bit of red/purple on the nail, but nothing major.

I really like these roses, they're cute, yet kinda edgy at the same time, depending on how you use them! If you'd like to try them, or anything else from Born Prettys huge range of nail art stuff, use my code for 10% off!

Until Next Time,
